Sandblasting
The preparation and cleaning of surfaces is of paramount importance for the success of the coating that you want to perform next. It can be of various types: liquid, powdered, and heat-reported.
One of the most high-performance and multipurpose types of preparation is sandblasting, which consists of the jet of abrasive by means of compressed air, which,by performing a mechanical action, ensures optimal cleaning that can be more or less thorough depending on the surface to be cleaned.
Treatable surfaces: carbon steel, stainless steel, steel alloys, aluminum, marble, wood etc. executable depending on the end result achievable with different methodologies and abrasives, such as:
SPECIAL SANDBLASTING
Sandblasting with glass microspheres.
Ideal for cleaning and polishing surfaces that do not need to be painted, such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper and other soft surfaces on which the glass exerts an extremely gentle cleaning action without creating any kind of etching or porosity, giving the surface a uniform, satin finish.
Blasting with ARMEX system
System that employs sodium bicarbonate as a cleaning substance, which being completely non-toxic lends itself to a variety of applications where a very low environmental impact is required, in addition, the cleaning of surfaces occurs by chemical and not mechanical effect, without the slightest incision of the surfaces and therefore can be used for delicate materials such as glass, facades of civil buildings, historical works, monuments etc.
Also ideal for graffiti removal and removal of dirt caused by smog.
SPECIAL COATINGS
Seawater immersion painting cycles
Suitable for surfaces in contact with seawater, including continuous immersion or shoreline areas.
Food painting cycles
Suitable for coating equipment, tanks and pipelines for the passage or containment of food products (liqids/solids).
Painting cycles with ceramic resins
Suitable for use in heavy-duty surface coating, with excellent anti-wear, anti-erosion, anti-corrosion resistance, reconstruction of damaged parts with excellent machinability (lathe, milling machine).
Thermoset phenolic coating cycles
Coating with high anti-corrosive qualities to acids under constant immersion and temperatures up to 220 °C after baking of the treated equipment.
Optimal painting cycle for internal protection of heat exchanger tube bundles, with application carried out under high pressure using a semiautomatic machine with a range of use for internal tubes with a minimum diameter of 19.5 mm(3/4″) and a maximum of 100 mm(4″) with lengths up to 14 mt.
Paintings
After adequate surface preparation, it is essential to apply a correct painting cycle depending on the environment in which the painted surfaces are to operate and the operating conditions they must withstand.Below is a generic list of executable cycles and their characteristics:
STANDARD COATINGS
Synthetic paint cycles
Suitable for exposed surfaces in rural environments.
Epoxy paint cycles
Suitable for exposed surfaces in industrial and marine environments
Polyurethane paint cycles
Suitable for exposed surfaces in rural, industrial and marine environments or where superior, long-lasting gloss retention is required. Both cycles can be serviced and performed in the factory and/or on site with mixed air(b.p) or airless (a.p) spray systems
SPECIAL COATINGS
Thermally insulating paint cycles
Heat-insulating coating up to temperatures of 150 °C, also suitable as a safety coating in operator-trafficked plant areas.
It contains and retains process temperatures with significant advantages over traditional coimbentation (laminates and rock wool), among all the advantages of having exposed treated surfaces, no undercoimbent corrosion, and easy maintenance restoration with additional applications over time.
It also prevents temperature changes of the fluid contained in the treated equipment by completely nullifying the phenomenon of solar radiation.
Chemo virating paint cycles
Acid-sensitive coating with distinct color change in case of contamination, specifically for localized applications in equipment connection areas (valves, plugs) where it is necessary to visually monitor any accidental spillage of even minimal contained fluids.
Cycles of thermo tack coating
Temperature-sensitive coating with distinct color change when temperatures rise, specifically for equipment applications where abnormal increases in internal temperatures need to be visually monitored.
– Viradiation initiation at 210 °C §
– Irreversible turning from green to blue at 240 °C about 30 minutes
– Triggering new spoiling at 320 °C
– Irreversible blue to light gray coloring at 350 °C in about 45 minutes
Other Services
Heat-replacing with ARC Therma Spray system
Coating performed by electric arc casting and projection of the molten metal onto the properly prepared surfaces.
The coatings that can be obtained lend themselves to a variety of application functions to increase the strengths and durability of the treated surfaces, with excellent properties depending on the alloys reported, which can be zinc, aluminum, hastalloy C, stainless steel, inconel, copper, brass, and other various superalloys that according to their choice impart the following qualities to the substrate:
– High anti-corrosive power
– High temperature resistance
– High anti-wear power
